Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Adam Matthews Hair LTD, we value our clients' time and ask that the same consideration is given to our team. This policy has been designed to ensure appointments can be managed fairly and efficiently while remaining compliant with UK consumer protection laws.
 

Appointment Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice before your scheduled appointment time.

Providing sufficient notice allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment to another client.
 

Late Cancellations

If we receive less than 48 hours' notice before your appointment, a charge of up to 50% of the original booked service may be applied.

This fee represents a reasonable contribution towards the loss incurred from the appointment being unavailable for rebooking at short notice.

No-Show Appointments

Clients who fail to attend their appointment without prior notice ("no-shows") may be charged up to 100% of the booked service value and may be required to pay in advance when making future bookings.
 

Deposits

Certain services may require a booking deposit.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Deposits will be deducted from the final balance due on the day of your appointment.

  • Where you cancel with at least 48 hours' notice, your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment or refunded, subject to the original payment method and processing times.

  • If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, your deposit may be retained and may count towards any applicable cancellation charge.
     

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to accommodate you.

However, depending on the remaining appointment time:

  • your service may need to be shortened

  • some elements of the service may not be possible 

  • the appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled.

Where an appointment cannot proceed due to significant lateness, the late cancellation policy may apply.
 

Refunds for Salon Services

Due to the personalised nature of hair services and the time reserved specifically for each client, we do not offer refunds for completed services.


 

Hair Colour and Chemical Services

Results may vary depending on factors including:

  • previous colouring history

  • home treatments or box dyes

  • hair condition

  • medications

  • undisclosed allergies or sensitivities; and

  • aftercare.
     

We cannot guarantee identical results to reference photographs or images.

Refunds will not usually be offered where expectations differ from achievable or professionally advised outcomes.

Retail Products

Unused retail products purchased directly from us may be returned within 14 days of purchase, provided they are:

  • unopened

  • unused

  • in their original packaging and

  • accompanied by proof of purchase.

This does not affect your statutory rights regarding faulty or misdescribed goods.

Products that have been opened or used may not be eligible for a refund unless faulty or required by law.
 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers:

  • cannot be exchanged for cash

  • are non-refundable except where required by law

  • must be redeemed before any stated expiry date

  • cannot be replaced if lost or stolen unless otherwise agreed by us.
     

Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation in England and Wales.
