Terms & Conditions
1. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and the booking and provision of services by Adam Matthews Hair LTD. By making an appointment or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
2. Appointments
Appointments can be made online, by telephone, in person or through any authorised booking platform (Slick).
Appointments are only confirmed once you receive confirmation from us via email or text.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary, including but not limited to scheduling errors, safety concerns or circumstances beyond our control.
3. Deposits
All services require a deposit to secure your booking.
Deposits are credited towards your final bill unless otherwise stated.
A cancellation fee applies in accordance with these Terms, all or part of the deposit may be retained as a reasonable reflection of losses resulting from late cancellation or non-attendance.
4. Cancellation Policy
We kindly request at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the appointment will result in the deposit either being refunded or transferred to rescheduled appointment.

Cancellations made within less than 48 hours may result in 50% of the original booked service being charged as well as the deposit being retained.

Failure to attend ("no-show") will result in the full deposit being retained and future bookings requiring advance payment.
Cancellation charges are intended only to reflect reasonable business losses resulting from missed appointments and will always be applied fairly and in accordance with UK consumer law.
5. Late Arrival
Clients arriving late may receive a shortened service to avoid delaying subsequent appointments.
Where there is insufficient time to complete the booked service safely and professionally, the appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled and the cancellation policy may apply (this would be applicable to colour, extension, corrective, or specialist services)
6. Prices
All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£).
Prices may change without prior notice but any confirmed booking will be honoured at the price agreed at the time of booking unless an obvious pricing error has occurred.
Additional charges may apply where:

extra time is required
-
additional products are used
-
the requested service changes during the appointment.
Any additional costs will be discussed before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
7. Consultations
Colour, extension, corrective, or specialist services require a consultation before booking.
We reserve the right to refuse treatments where they would compromise hair integrity or client safety.
Recommendations provided during consultations are professional opinions and intended to achieve the safest and best possible result.
8. Colour Services
Clients must disclose:

previous colouring history
-
use of box dyes
-
chemical treatments
-
allergies or sensitivities
-
medications or medical conditions that may affect treatment.

use of henna dye
Failure to provide accurate information may affect results and could prevent us from performing the service.
Patch tests are required before colour services. Appointments cannot proceed without a satisfactory patch test.
9. Hair Extensions
Where extension services are offered:

maintenance appointments must be followed
-
aftercare instructions should be observed
-
failure to follow maintenance guidance may affect longevity and any applicable guarantee.
We are not responsible for damage caused by improper home care or third-party alterations.
10. Results
Hair services are personalised and individual results vary depending on hair type, history, condition, and aftercare.
While every effort is made to achieve the desired outcome, no guarantee can be given that a particular style or colour will exactly match reference images or expectations.
11. Refunds
Due to the nature of professional salon services, refunds are generally not provided where services have been completed.
We may offer:

Another reasonable remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.
12. Retail Products
Unused retail products may be returned in their original condition within [14] days with proof of purchase unless excluded by law or hygiene requirements.
Faulty products will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
13. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers:

cannot be exchanged for cash
-
are non-refundable unless required by law

must be redeemed before their expiry date

cannot be replaced if lost or stolen unless otherwise stated.
14. Health and Safety
Clients should disclose allergies, medical conditions, scalp sensitivities, pregnancy, or medications relevant to treatment.
We reserve the right to refuse services where proceeding may pose a health or safety risk.
15. Children
Children attending appointments remain the responsibility of their parent or legal guardian at all times.
For safety reasons, children not receiving a service should be supervised and may be asked to remain seated.
16. Personal Belongings
While reasonable care is taken, we cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises unless caused by our negligence.
17. Website Use
You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without written permission.
18. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation and GDPR
19. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
We do not seek to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to the above, our liability shall be limited to losses reasonably foreseeable from our breach of contract.
20. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your visit, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have the opportunity to investigate and where appropriate resolve the matter.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to future bookings made after publication.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable law provides otherwise.
